New: I Was What You Thought I Am

Here are the drawings I promised, oh about three weeks ago! I finally found a suitable scanner and here they are! Five drawings part of a series I've called, "I Was What You Thought I Am." You can also find them sitting over in my Etsy shop. Also, I may not get to post for a week or two- I'm off to New Orleans for work on Friday and then Atlanta at the end of next week! Even though I'm horrible at remembering to take pictures at memorable events I'm really going to try and then maybe I'll post a few.

Marination Mobile

After pulling an 11-hour workday yesterday at Silver Fox, I walked outside the Capital Hill doors to find the weekend nightlife had magically appeared while I was inside staring at my computer screen. Lo-and-beyond, before my eyes appeared a new mobile food vendor, called Marination Mobile. It was so so good, I just had to blog about it. I had the tofu tacos and they were beyond amazing. At $4 for two tacos, I was thrilled to experience such wonderful deliciousness as an end to a long day.

Marination Mobile is Seattle’s sauciest food truck. Founded in 2009, Marination specializes in Hawaiian and Korean curb cuisine that is always fast, usually marinated in a signature sauce, frequently served in a tortilla, and mostly healthy. Our rolling street kitchen is a righteous destination for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

Sound as Art

I feel a little rebellious because I'm blogging this from work. Well, here's some true rebellion for you.

If I Were a Backpack...

I would totally be this one from Mishi. Simple, stylish, functional, and most of all ORANGE (my favorite childhood color)!

P.S. Does anyone know where I can get high quality scans of artwork done? The art center at school is all closed up for the summer so I can't get in to use the scanner (trust me I've tried). I gave it a shot at Staples but the scans were horrible. Any ideas??

Poketo!

... is my new obsession. This site puts really really great art on items you can use every day! And the best part is it's affordable to a student budget like mine. I have heard the word "Poketo" floating around for a while now, but hadn't checked out their website until I bought
this adorable set of plates at a store in Capital Hill called Retail Therapy. I think I will hang the plates in my room, rather than eat off of them. I'm far too scared one of my room mates will accidentally stick one in the microwave!

Nothing Was Delivered

I've been trying to get some drawings that I have been working on up, but having some scanner issues. So, fingers crossed.. tomorrow.

I found this on Will Bryant's website and think it's hilarious. But I must disagree with you, Will. I hate gradients. Thanks to my new job as a Microsoft lackey.

Ballad of a Thin Man

I'm working on some drawings right now that have me looking at a little blog some of you may have heard of, The Sartorialist. If you have a liking for footwear, you may enjoy said drawings. Watch for those sometime this weekend.

Anyway, I came across this photo and had to share, because this man looks like the coolest man alive. Sir, if you read this... bravo.
